This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I think this place could do much better with what it has. I have given it this rating because I ordered an arepa con carne. But that's all it was. Arepa, meat, and cheese. It didn't taste like it was made with any passion or with any pride. It was really kind of plain. Even the seasoning didn't wow me. My wife had the mixto patacon and I wish I had ordered that. It had color, veggies, and flavor that I wish I got. That's why I gave 3 starts. The patacon. We even got the taquenos at the end, and they are what they are. The garlic sauce stole the show. The servers spent most of the time staring at the register screen. In fact I'm wholly convinced one of them didnt actually work there. The one worker barely checked on us and I had to go to the register myself to pay the tab. The decoration is nice, but the atmosphere was brought down by a giant screen playing music with no video. Just album covers. And it was a bit loud.

We tried SazΓ³n Venezolano for the first time and overall the food was good, but there were a few things that could definitely be improved. I ordered the PatacΓ³n Mix, and while the flavor was good, my food was only lukewarm when it came out. We also received an empanada that was cold, which was disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all when we were there, but it still took a while for our waitress to come over and attend to us. On the positive side, my husband ordered the Parrillada, and his food was AMAZING. He really enjoyed everything on his plate. My PatacΓ³n Mix was also very tasty aside from the temperature. There’s definitely good flavor here, and I would give them another try. I just hope next time the food comes out hot and the service is a little more attentive. πŸ’œ
